1.) The watercolor techniques page was helpful and interesting.
2.) I love how watercolor blends. It just spreads across the paper. 3.) You can't paint over your mistakes like acrylic.

1.) This picture was taken in the smokey mountains. I took it while hiking up the mountains with my friends. it was so beautiful up there, and I definitely want to do it again.
2.) The sky was the hardest cause I could never be satisfied with the color gradient. i kept going over it layer after layer until i finaly got it right. 3.) The sky was definitly most sucsessful because of how realistic it looked to me. Especialy compared with the flat, one colored mountains. 4.) I first had to find a picture that I liked, which was tricky cause I didnt have a picture of first place that i wanted to piant. Then i found this picture and started skecthing it on the canvas paper. Matching the colors of the mountains to the original picture was hard so i painted a more colorized version of them. 1.) I learned a lot from these warm ups, to be more specific I learned how to correctly use acrylics and paint certain textures.
2.) The trees warm up was definitely helpful with my painting. Mostly cause my trees used to look like splotchy cactus's. 3.) I learned most from the skin tones however it was kind of a fail because i couldn't figure out how to make lighter skin tones. 4.) You make brown by mixing a primary color with its complimentary color. For example blue and orange. 5.) You can tone down a color by mixing it with a small amount of its complimentary color. Pencil : Squishy Bull Charcoal : Gilbert the Snail Pen : Oreo the Neighborhood Cat One of the most helpful warm ups for me was the blind contour face drawing. It helped because I had to focus more on shapes and certain details on what I was seeing rather than go by memory on what l saw.
